How it works
A locker you can walk to, opened from your phone. No staff on the door. No sites open yet — this is the shape of the service.
You look for a NearStow near the building you live in, or a short walk from it. Right now that search ends on the launch list, because we are still choosing buildings. Your postcode tells us where demand actually is.
You pick a locker for the thing you need to keep, not a unit sized like a spare room. Names such as Parcel, Small, Medium, Suitcase and XL are illustrative until the equipment is fixed. There is no live booking and no price you can pay today.
You bring what you still use: luggage, golf clubs, sports kit, seasonal things, a pushchair, boxes, or a small amount of stock. You do not arrive with a removal van. If it is hazardous, perishable, or illegal, it does not come in.
You open the locker from your phone, including late in the evening. The site is unmanned on purpose. There is no counter and no one to meet you, which is how a room in an apartment building can stay useful seven days a week.
Unmanned means you are not waiting for opening hours or for a member of staff to finish with someone else. It also means the building has to be comfortable with a resident letting themselves in and out.
The exact lock, app and insurance are part of the equipment we are quoting. They are not published here as if they were already installed. Before anyone stores a suitcase, access, cameras and what happens if something goes wrong will be settled with that building.
Later, the same locker may be a personal delivery address. That is not the service we open with, and NearStow is not trying to be a parcel-shop rival. Storage first.
